Is there facility for using the Live Search API to perform like sitexplorer.search.yahoo.com?  This would be a very useful complement to the interface, and could spawn lots of creative development on the client side.

I am looking to include the functionality of being able to search for all theatres playing a certain movie (movie name is input) near a user entered zip code.

 

I have found that using the Live Search API (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb266176.aspx), if you read under "Enhancements in Version 1.0", it says that it can do what i mentioned above.

 

Does anyone have a working ASP.NET Visual studio project that does this or something very similar? Or is there a place online where I can find the sample code for this application.

 

Any feedback / comment is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

after researching  bit the leaking issue i found out my app have a "managed heap memory "

when performed a test with windbg tool i got a list with all the object placed in the GC heaps

at the bottom of the sorted list thats what i got :

as you can see the number of the largest bytes belongs to System.String .

now at my system i have lots of datatable contain string info retrived from DB and as far as i know i cant free the datatable or its content explicity (its done by the GC).

i am unable to arrive to the function that causes the leak with the windbg  tool because after using !dumpobj  and !dumpmt -md  on the addresses related to the string objects

i got a list of  System.String objects that didnt reffer me to a function name in my application ....

Please Have you Got any Ideas?

I'm working to develop a website that needs to allow it users to search for information using a city radius search feature in 50 mile increments. For example, users will need to perform a search that results in all of the listings within a 150 radius of Jacksonville, FL.

Currently, I have over 1800 Excel speardsheets that collectively list the distances of all 42000+ US citites with each city or town's distance from the other  42000+ cities.

Is there any way that I may use MapPoint 2009 to combine the information in the Excel spreadsheets to pefrom the city raduis search?

i m using msn search api for keyword search .i have set the count varrable at 50 value . that means it will returns 50 search results.  i m confused in results.  when i search  , for some keywords it is returning exact 50 results . but for others it is returning some random results link 14  ,23, 37 etc . however the total results which i m getting is very high .
keywords like(logo design services , full color business card).

i don't know why it is happing . i have done lot of googleing . but i m not getting any clue.

i need some help...


plz reply ASAP.

Hello experts...

I required to parse wmf file .But as I don't have much wmf files.I downloaded few sample files from net and also converted few files using tool from jpg,gif,bmp files to wmf file type. But as I required rle compresed wmf file ,I require any tool which can convert image file in to (rle4 or rle8 comressed) wmf file type or any such sample files.Please if anybody have any information,then help me.
