Live Contacts API Bad Request
MSDN Forums: Live ID - Having obtained consent successfully and authenticated, when I make a call to the API (read-only on the contacts), on 50% of the hotmail/live accounts it works fine I get the xml back perfectly, until my collegues tested in I found the other 50% of accounts I get a back a response saying it's a bad request consistenly it's the same accounts that work and don't work. I observed that all the older pre-Live.com accounts don't work and all the new post Live.com seem to work, but that's a very rough guess. What I don't get is that some work and some don't, makes no sense to me.
So I'm not sure if it's my problem of not properly decoding the ConsentToken. I'm using Ruby, but the documentation can't help any further. I am using the Delegated Authentication technique and actually developing a Ruby Gem open source to help people use the API without worrying about all the token leg work.
Are there any proper test cases that I can run my code against to ensure the input and outputs of the cryptography is correct regardless of programming language. It's a bit a stab in the dark when I don't know if I'm going wrong or there is a problem with the API.
All I need, is here's the ConsentToken and here the delt, lid etc... that it should be decoded to. This way I know my application conforms to the api and tested properly etc... I've found the documentation is rather long-winded and not giving me enough details to do this with all this trial and error and no tests is painful and very frustrating.
I have read throught the Ruby examples and doing exactly that, but please the examples are useless if they aren't proven to work with test cases that I can check against.

Error trying to register a new application
MSDN Forums: Live ID - I'm trying to register a new application and I get the following error message:
"Register an Application
We have to know some information about your application. To register an application, complete the following required fields, and then click Submit.
An exception occurred. Please try again."
I created two applications earlier successfully but I can't seem to create another without this error.

Problems to login on Windows Live too

I'm trying to use Windows Live ID on my company site. It works very well, till last week. I was publishing this site on a temporary subdomain, therfor I'm using a extra account (use's a new key and redirection).
Now I've the problem: My account don't works properly. When I try to login to my Live Account for example the redirection don't works, the same with the site I explained above...(?)

Forbidden domain

Hi, I tried to register Windows Live ID auth for my page powered by MojoPortal. My domain "www.mujzune.cz" however contains forbidden word. Could you please unblock this domain for registering? I tried to built a website on Microsoft's infrastructure (WS2008, SQL2008, ASP.NET, Live auth, Live mail etc...). It is a first of a family of enthusiast blogs/websites I am planning.
Could it be possible to unblock it despite the trademark issue? I can only repeat its an enthusiast website - tech blog and forum about the product (which currently does not market in Czech Republic and I am one of a very few early adopters), therefore it is kind of obvious, that it does contain the products name in the address. It can of course help to spread knowledge and help to market Microsoft's device.

I am new to webservice. Could you please tell me how to setup webservice which takes a username as an input parameter and returns a url that has a security token that goes directly to the user’s OWA inbox.
I would like to see this in action - nothing too clever just the authentication part.

Delegated Authentication problem

I am new to Windows Live ID Authentication. I am creating an application that will create/upload/delete album/photos using Windows Live ID. For this I need Delegated Authentication. I already created the application & have the application ID.
Point here is, I am able to login using the Live ID programmatically but unable to do any work on user's data. It is giving access error. I have not specified any domain name at the time of application registration as it requires a valid DNS name. I am using it locally (as localhost). So, it is not possible to enter localhost in the domain name section.
My CallBackURL is specified for localhost for development purpose. I need to debug the code too.
Can anyone please help me solve out this issue.
Any help regarding the same is soliciated as early as possible.

Mobile vb .net upload a text file

I am writing an application that collects data in a sql compact db, the operator scan barcodes and when he is ready/done with specific job, he creates a text file on the mobile device (MW 5.0, 3.5 .net Frmw). I tested the My.Computer.Network.UploadFile in vb .net windows app and works, but the My.Computer is not available in the mobile environment, is there any other option to send this file to a share drive on the network using a mobile device?
I have tried using the outlook api's to e-mail the file it gave me errors in the emulator (I still don't have the real device that I am going to use; it will be a Symbol 90xx series with wm 5.0 . I also try using a web request but same problem the emulator does not connect to the network when I cradle it, and WM device center (vista) does not connect to the emulator ( I am running this in a virtual machine). Anyway I am having problems uploading the file to the server. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
